Benefits

We offer one of the most comprehensive, market-competitive benefits programs available to appeal to the highest quality individuals. The following benefits are available to our regular employees (working 32 or more hours per week). Benefits may vary outside the United States.

401(k) Plan

Tripp Lite offers a nationally recognized 401(k) plan with numerous investment options to increase financial security upon retirement. Tripp Lite matches a portion of contributions subject to a vesting schedule.

Medical Insurance

Large network PPO and HMO medical plans are available with minimal co-payments. The plans cover hospital care, surgery and maternity with discounted vision plans, office visits and prescriptions (separate vision coverage available).

Vision Insurance

A nationwide vision plan is available, including retail providers and private practice providers with minimal co-payments. The plan covers exams, lenses and frames with discounts on contact lenses and laser vision correction.

Dental Insurance

Large network PPO and HMO dental plans are available with minimal co-payments. No waiting periods on major dental procedures.

Long-Term Disability

Tripp Lite provides a nationally recognized long-term disability plan that provides income protection until retirement. Rates are based on income level and age.

Long-Term Care Insurance

Skilled care is available to Tripp Lite employees through community-based care (such as home health care and adult day care) or a nursing home.

Flexible Spending Accounts

Programs are available that allow employees to put money aside pre-tax for child care/day care expenses, as well as medical, dental, vision and public transportation expenses.

College Savings Plan

Tripp Lite offers a 529 college savings plan that allows employees to contribute to an account to pay a beneficiary's qualified higher education expenses. The plan covers tuition, fees, books, supplies and room and board.

Home/Renter/Auto Insurance

Group rate discounts for home, renters and auto insurance are available through a nationally recognized insurer. Additional discounts are available for payments made through payroll deductions.

Life Insurance

Tripp Lite provides $15,000 of life insurance free of charge for employees enrolled in any of its medical insurance plans. Supplemental insurance coverage and dependent coverage are also available on a pre-tax basis.

Employee Assistance Program

This free, confidential phone assistance plan is available to employees and their immediate families in dealing with personal problems.

Holidays

Tripp Lite observes nine company-paid holidays per year, including New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Eve.

Vacation

Tripp Lite offers 10 vacation days per year after one year of continuous employment and 15 vacation days per year after five years of continuous employment.

Sick Leave

The number of sick days is at the discretion of the department manager.

Company Events

Tripp Lite hosts an annual holiday party and a company picnic for all regular employees.

Shuttle Service

Tripp Lite provides its employees with shuttle bus services to and from its Chicago, Illinois world headquarters on 1111 W. 35th Street at no cost. Shuttle buses run from Union and Northwestern Train Stations and from the "L" stop at 35th Street and the Dan Ryan Expressway.
