Summary
When you first visited our site, we created a personal Picklist for you. You can use it to hold the products you want to purchase today or in the future, or to remember the products you purchase most often (we'll keep your Picklist for a year after your last use). Your Picklist works just like a shopping cart with one added benefit: we'll help you find the best combination of price and availability from our top resellers! Or, you can use Picklist to build a bill of materials for your project, then export your items to Excel or e-mail them to a colleague.
Here's a quick summary of Picklist functionality:
- Use your Picklist to hold products you intend to purchase.
- View your Picklist by clicking the link at the top right of each page.
- Add, update quantity, and remove products.
- Print, e-mail, or export your Picklist.
- Retrieve prices for Picklist items from up to a dozen online resellers.
- Order all your Picklist items with one click!
Viewing your Picklist
You can view your Picklist by clicking on the "View Picklist" link at the top-right of each page on tripplite.com.
Adding Products to your Picklist
Add to Picklist links are available wherever you see a Model Number. Simply click the link and the product is added to your Picklist with a default quantity of one. You will also have the opportunity to add required accessories, and recommended or optional products.
Managing your Picklist
- Remove Products: Click alongside the Model Number.
- Remove ALL Products: Click the Clear List button in the lower left of the Picklist page.
- Change Quantity: Enter a new quantity for the item, and then click the Update Quantity button in the lower right of the Picklist page.
Working with your Picklist
- Printing your Picklist: Click the Print List button in the top right of the Picklist page.
- E-Mailing your Picklist: Click the E-Mail List button in the top right of the Picklist page. In the pop-up form, enter your e-mail address and the address of the recipient.
- Saving (Exporting) your Picklist: Click the Save List button in the lower left of the Picklist page. In the pop-up form, click Save. Your browser will give you the opportunity to choose a location for the saved list.
- Opening (Importing) a Saved Picklist: Click the Open List button in the lower left of the Picklist page. In the pop-up form, click Choose File, select the saved list file, and click Open. Click Submit. The contents of the saved list will be added to your current Picklist. If a product is already on your list, the quantity will be incremented.
Pricing and Ordering
Retrieving Reseller Prices
When all of the products you want to purchase are on your Picklist, display the Picklist page and click the Show Reseller Prices button in the top right of the page. This displays a Price Comparison Table showing resellers who offer the products on your Picklist and their prices.
The Picklist Total shown at the bottom of the Price Comparison Table is the sum of the prices for the products the reseller offers. However, if the reseller does not offer all of the products on your Picklist, these prices will not be included in the Picklist Total. (See "Hiding Resellers with Blank Prices")
Finding the Best Price
It's easy to find the best overall price for your Picklist items from your favorite reseller.
- Hiding Resellers with Blank Prices: to hide resellers that do not offer all of the products on your Picklist, click the Hide Resellers Showing Blank Prices or "Call" checkbox. Unchecking this checkbox re-displays all resellers.
- Removing Resellers: you can remove a reseller from the Price Comparison Table by clicking the [X] above the reseller's name.
- Removing Products: you can remove a product from the Price Comparison Table by clicking the [X] beside the Model Number.
- Resetting the Price Comparison Table: To reset the Price Comparison Table and show all resellers, click the Reset Table button at the lower right of the page. Resetting the Price Comparison Table does not bring back any products you removed from your Picklist.
Placing a Picklist Order
You can order all of the products on your Picklist by clicking the Add to Cart button. This opens the reseller's website in a separate browser window and displays the shopping cart with your Picklist items included.
Why are Add to Cart buttons not available for all resellers? Not all resellers allow you to place multiple items in their shopping carts in a single action. However, you can still order your Picklist items by:
- Going to the reseller site, and adding items to the reseller's cart one by one, or;
- Clicking on the Model Number in the Picklist to display each product's detail page, then clicking the Price Check button, and adding the item to your chosen reseller's cart.
Printing a Priced Picklist
To print a Price Comparison Table, click the Print List button in the top right of the Reseller Price Comparison page. A printer-friendly page is displayed. Click the Print button (this button does not appear on the printed page) to display the Print dialog.
We recommend that you choose Landscape in your printer properties dialog before printing, especially if there are a number of resellers in the Price Comparison Table.
Returning to your Picklist
To exit the Price Comparison Table and return to your Picklist, click the Back to Picklist button in the top right of the Reseller Price Comparison page.
Other Things You Should Know
- Reseller prices are updated every night. Occasionally, you may see a discrepancy between the price shown in the Price Comparison Table and the reseller's website. In these cases, the reseller's price applies.
- Resellers may choose not to publish a price. In this case, the Price Comparison Table will show "Call".
