GREAT PRICE This is one of the most reliable inverters that I have ever used it works great our company has 6 of these and have had no problems with them. I used it when we went on a trip to Florida and my son had his laptop on the whole time. Great product. May 2, 2013
Outstanding product I purchased a similarly priced invertor, from an inferior manufacturer, and it was absolute garbage. After returning that item, and doing more research, I picked up this TrippLite unit a few days later and it hasn't let me down. The build quality is precise and the craftsmanship leaves nothing to be desired. The entire unit is sturdy, made of high-grade materials, and even looks good to boot. It powers a couple laptops without hesitation, along with a switch. No complaints here! Keep up the good work TrippLite! April 29, 2013
PV375 Works great for charging laptop while on the road working, just what I needed. Very compact. January 7, 2013
rattling part in box, plug in broke We have used this only a handful of times and are not hard on it. Never been dropped or damaged however it hasn't held up well. As listed above November 7, 2012

Mounting bracket for a boat?

Hi -

Do you have a suggestion for a mounting bracket for this unit? We use ours on our boat and would like to secure it better since we sail.

Thanks.

Answer:
Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately we don't offer any suggestions on mounting this device. Also, it is suggested that you use caution when using this, or any electrical device, in an environment where there is water or moisture. This product is not designed to be used in these types of environments.

Answer:
The acceptable input range for voltage is 12 - 14 vDC. If it is much lower than 12vDC, the unit will alarm and shut-off, as to warn that the automotive battery is getting close to its lower limit to allow starting of the engine.

Efficiency

Do you have any efficiency vs load curves?
Does efficiency vary with input voltage?
Thanks

Answer:
Thank you for your inquiry. We don’t have a curve that is readily available, but the most efficient portion of the load curve, is closer to full load. This is due to losses in the electronics and conversion process that are better and more fully absorbed by a full load.

Efficiency is best at the rated voltage, and drops some as the voltage declines, but not appreciably because of the push/boost circuit used to arrive at the 120volt output.

Answer:
Thank you for your inquiry. The PV375 does not output a pure sine wave. Tripp Lite does manufacture inverter/chargers that output a pure sine wave, but they are not compact like the PV375.

Answer:
The PV375 will support the load as long as it doesn't exceed the units output load capacity of 375 watts (continuous) or 600 watts (peak output instantaneous). Also note that the output voltage regulation maintains PWM sine wave output voltage of 115 V AC (+/- 8 V AC). If your equipment is within these parameters the PV375 will support it.
