When Monitor 1 & 2 are powered up?
When only Monitor 1 is powered up?
When only Monitor 2 is powered up?

An HDMI monitor signals its display capabilities to an HDMI source in order to negotiate the output resolution of the source device. I want to know what happens when the two monitors used with the splitter have different natural resolutions.

Answer:
By using the HDMI splitter, the display will follow the lower resolution of the two monitors.

For example, the max resolution of monitor 1 is 720p, and the max resolution of monitor 2 is 1080p.
When Monitor 1 & 2 are powered up?
Both of the monitor's resolution will be 720p.

When only Monitor 1 is powered up?
The resolution is 720p.

When only Monitor 2 is powered up?
The resolution is 1080p.
