Overview

The SRW6U 6U Wall-Mount Rack Enclosure Cabinet is designed to integrate wall-mounting, easy equipment access, and cable management in IT network applications with limited floor space. Ventilated front door and side panels allow generous airflow to keep equipment operating safely. Adjustable rack rails with square mounting holes accommodate up to 6U of standard 19" rackmount equipment. Supports up to 200 lbs of equipment. A sturdy wall-mount bracket allows the cabinet to quickly be hung on the wall.

I used a SRW6U this week in a small closet that needed a neat a secure enclosure for a modem, router, UPS strip and two switches. It was very quick; light enough to hang by myself no problem and well-read instructions. The wall-mount installs into studs or wall with toggle bolts, and then you hang the SmartRack onto it. Secure to wall-mount and the five minute project is over. Although, I would recommend using more than just the wall-mount as they have provided the openings for more hardware throughout the rear of the enclosure. The enclosure felt very sturdy, the finish was great and Tripp Lite also supplied 12 rack nuts and bolts. The case is well perforated has space for four fans, two on the top and two on the bottom, in case you need more cooling. You have access to the inside from the front-locking door and two secure side doors. I had a great experience with this enclosure and had only wished that more rack hardware was included :) I have zero reason to look for any other rack enclosure of this size, very happy with this purchase. Excellent home network rack I bought this for my home network. I have a study/work room that I have my equipment located in and was looking for a small cabinet that could rack mount equipment. Although this unit is designed to go on the wall, it works perfectly on the floor. I mounted four small wheel casters on the bottom so that I could move it around. Solid construction, flexibility in opening the front, sides, and small outlets in back. Worth the buy. March 4, 2013

Well made rack enclosure I have installed this unit in my new home - I have Cat6 from all rooms to into a patch bay in this rack unit. The quality of manufacture is first rate - thoughtful design features that are flexible for a range of uses. My only complaint is that it ships with 12 nuts/screws. This is a 6U unit and if you install 6 x 1U devices (switch, power supply etc) then you need 6 x 4 = 24 nuts/screws. Sure you can buy more screws but they tend to come in bags of 50. The screws are so cheap why not include 24 with the unit? Overall this unit is great and I would recommend. November 18, 2012

Thanks for your query.Please note that our SRW6U wallmount cabinet has an exterior depth of 17.5 in; and an adjustable mounting depth of 3 to 16.5 in. When determining the suitability of our rack for use with a particular device, we suggest that you also take into account any allowances required to accomodate associated device wiring (AC input cord, data lines, etc.) in your measurements.
