Overview

The SRWF5U 5U+2 Low-Profile Wall Mount Rack Enclosure Cabinet is designed to integrate wall-mounting, easy equipment access, and cable management in IT network applications with limited floor space. Ventilated front door and bottom panels allow generous airflow to keep equipment operating safely. Adjustable horizontal rack rails securely mount 5U of 19" rackmount equipment with M6 or they can be reversed for securing with 12-24 threaded mounting holes. The patch panel mounting brackets provide space for up to 2U of patch panels with integral slide-out feature for easy cable access. Supports up to 150 lbs of equipment.

I was looking into the SRWF5U for use in my upcoming home network. The project is going to be, currently, 10 Cat6 wall-drops which will feed to a patch panel inside the SRWF5U.

My concern is the stock cable access holes and the girth a bundle of Cat6 cable will be. I realize there are several openings for cables but I would feel much safer utilizing one opening and then spanning the cable out for punch-down into the patch panel.

Would you recommend against modification of, for instance, the center cable access hole to make it wider to accommodate the bundle of Cat6 cables? Any other elaboration would be appreciated and if there any options I have overlooked please do not hesitate in pointing me in the right direction
