Overview

Tripp Lite's INTERNET350U standby UPS system offers complete protection from blackouts, brownouts and transient surges on both AC and dialup modem lines. Provides seamless battery support during brownouts and power failures with enough runtime to save and shutdown connected equipment without data loss. Offers complete power protection in an ultra-compact, flat-pack housing with an appearance closer to a power strip than other bulky UPS designs. Includes 3 battery supported outlets for computer, monitor and one vital system peripheral, plus 3 additional surge suppression-only outlets for printers and other system accessories not requiring battery support. USB port enables optional unattended system shutdown without data loss in the case of extended power failure. PowerAlert software available via free download from www.tripplite.com, includes bundled USB cable. Built-in single line RJ11 phone suppression jacks with line splitter protects up to two directly connected modems, fax machines, cordless phones or other peripherals with a standard dialup phone connection. Built-in audible alarm and front panel LEDs offer continuous status information regarding line and battery power operation. 350VA/180 watt power handling ability supports entry-level PC systems for up to 15 minutes during power fail conditions. $100,000 connected equipment insurance (USA, Puerto Rico, & Canada Only).

Just sits there and runs The Internet 350U operates quietly and silently in the background. Once you plug in your PC, peripherals, and phone connections, it works reliably in the background. Just be sure to provide plenty of ventilation space around and under the unit. October 29, 2012
Good layout and connectivity. Widely-spaced outlets permit use of large power-blocks. USB is the direction of PC connectivity. Convenient size. Bright LED indicators. Loud beep for getting attention. Adequate run-time for small systems. Non-glare finish. Black color coordinates with other hues. Cord length is generous, but not so long as to pose a risk for tripping. It is designed to be energy-efficient, and, thus, minimize heat generation, which is a key consideration for tightly-closed spaces. Rounded corners of the case help to avoid sharply compressing objects near it, such as cables. The three battery-backed outlets reinforce, that this product is designed for small systems, while the three non-battery-backed outlets protect larger power usage equipment. The On/Off Switch is heavy-duty, with little travel, for reliability. The black on white background lettering provides high contrast. The components are not frozen for the life of the product line, so that improvements can be incorporated into the product, with the evolution of the components. The multi-language Owner's Manual thoroughly informs on the basic operation. October 10, 2012

Answer: 
I have two INTERNET350U units and they are both the smaller dimensions you gave. I have never heard of these units being as large as the large dimension you give, so I suspect that it must be a typo. I believe you can safely order the INTERNET350U and it will be the smaller dimension.

Thanks for your query. Please note that the 3 x 8 x 6.4 is expressed in inches; whereas the 7.5 x 20.4 x 16.1 is in centimeters. Both accurately indicating the INTERNET350U H x W x D dimensions.
