PowerAlert Network Power Management System
PowerAlert is a network-based power management system that enables a network manager to monitor and control up to 250 Tripp Lite UPS systems or PDUs and the computers and equipment they support from a single interface. Since PowerAlert is a FREE, software-only solution, it saves network managers significant installation costs compared to competitive solutions that require additional hardware or license purchases.
Using JAVA and SNMP standards, PowerAlert simplifies power management for every network—from a single server to a distributed corporate network. PowerAlert lets network managers centrally monitor every UPS and PDU on their network. In addition, PowerAlert allows users to set parameters for graceful, automatic system shut down in the event of an extended blackout.
PowerAlert comes in three editions: the PowerAlert Network Management System for network professionals, PowerAlert Local for home offices, small businesses, and branch offices, and PowerAlert Shutdown Agent, a small-footprint utility that listens and responds to power events over an IP network. An optional SNMP Network Card allows non-networked UPS and switched PDUs to be monitored and controlled over an IP network.
