WAY BETTER THAN THAT APC GARBAGE WAY BETTER THAN THAT APC GARBAGE. I Love it. I have 5 of them. they last so long . Good for island use, to protect my items. And I just got stepped it up and got me 2 new OMNI 1500LCDT UPS SYSTEMS. February 28, 2014
Now CAUSES power failures, but still prevents others. I've had this unit for a bit under 3 years and it's been doing fine during that time. Recently, however, it's been causing power failures. It looks like it's doing a self-test, which I've seen/heard it do many times before. Maybe once every 48 hours or so, I'd hear it beep & the transformer kick-in and voltage remained un-interrupted. But this past week when doing this same thing, power actually went off for the attached PC (a relatively low-power desktop PC). There was no power failure or brown-out at the time... all other nearby devices not connected to the UPS continued to operate normally.. not even a flicker. I had another one of their OmniPlus 1000va backup units and it died... the LCD won't come on nor will it pass any sort of power, so I think it was killed by a power surge. (that no other surge protectors in my home were affected by). Pretty certain this will be my last Tripp Lite product. December 6, 2013
Nice Back Up Time When The Power Fail This Units Do The Job Very Well November 29, 2013
UPS Benefits I found the UPS very useful. It works very well with all the equipment, also with high frecuency devices. It would be great that the display showed also the amperes in each port. thank you. October 22, 2013

My Smart1000LCD UPS will not turn on!

I've managed to lose the manual in a move back to IL from FL. No power through the UPS to anything on the back-up side and cannot turn on the unit. Help!

Answer:
It sounds like the batteries are no longer holding their charge. Contact Tripp-Lite and request an RMA and they will probably just send you a new unit.

Answer:
A little more info would be great, but I'll try and help.

First, you can download the manual from Tripp Lite's website. Just have your Model # handy.

Since I'm not sure of what model you have, I can't help much more than that.

Answer:
We appreciate your interest in our UPS line of products. We've made the runtime calculations for you! Please note that the first step to determining runtime is to confirm your to-be-supported device(s) total Wattage draw. Then you can simply go onto a given UPS's homepage and click on the "Load & runtime" link and the associated runtime.

For example: a SMART1000LCD running at it's 500W maximum output capacity, would support said load for 3 minutes. If your LED TV draws more than 500W, then you will need to look at another unit in order to "right-size" the UPS.
