Product PDU1215: I can't seem to find a unique serial number for each unit. The numbers that look like they could be serial numbers are the same on each of 5 units. I realize these units don't cost a whole lot so maybe it was decided to not create unique serial numbers for them.

Steve

Thanks for the query. Please note that our "Basic" PDU’s only carry datecode and stock code references, but not the sequential coding scheme as found on our "Monitored" and "Switched" PDU variants.

Answer:
The PDU1215 does not have built in surge suppression.

This unit is designed to be used in conjunction with a UPS system for additional outlets and you not want to plug a surge suppressor into a UPS system.

If planning to plug this unit into the wall for surge suppression exclusively, lead with the DRS-1215:

txtSeriesID=826&txtModelID=118

This rack mount surge suppressor has a 15 amp plug and fourteen 15 amp outlets.

Answer:
The PDU1215 is RoHS compliant. In most cases a declaration of conformity document is all that's needed.

Here's the link on the doc:

We would like to use the PDU1215 as part of equipment set-up on a military cargo aircraft. To be use in flight, equipment must meet airworthiness testing, including appropriate sections of Mil Std 810. Can you supply any documentation identifying the PDU1215 as being airworthy for in-flight use?
