Keyboard will stop working. We had a PS2 only Tripplite KVM and I thought it was time to upgrade. I purchased a new unit with PS2 & USB and connected it up. Everything worked great. The next time I went to use the unit it would not accept any keyboard input. I had to cycle the power on the unit in order to get it working again. I contacted support and we went through a few things. I really didn't have time work on this issue. Now that the warranty is up, I have the unit connected to a power switch for quick reboot. Out of all of the tripplite devices the company has this is the only one that has caused problems. October 20, 2014
malfunctioned after about 1 year I've had lots of Tripp Lite products over the years and the brand was one I trusted. Over the last year this KVM Switch would intermittently lose signal with my USB Keyboard during use and I'd have to recycle the power on the unit in order to get it working again. A few months ago, in the middle of an important job, the Switch completely failed and I had to scramble to get a new KVM Switch (of another brand) rushed to my house and subsequently lost several days of work. Very disappointing performance. June 13, 2012

I use the B042-008 KVM in a situation where power is cycled on the KVM quite a bit and I noticed that the settings that can be changed as part of the Menu are saved and kept during power down, but one of the hot keys (SCRLCK+SCRLCK+B) to turn the beep on and off has to be used everytime the power is cycled. I was wondering if there is another way to save this setting so that I wont have to repeat this setting everytime I power up the KVM. Thanks!
