Best Insurance for Guaranteed Protection This is our third Tripp-Lite device and it meets the need of providing high quality protection at a reasonable price. Sometimes the multi-outlet units are needed for media or computer centers, but this simply two outlet unit was perfect for our high end Roland electronic piano. As an electrical engineer, I love the design and focus on protection, unlike the cheaper surge protectors that are sold everywhere. The lifetime guarantee speaks to the quality and confidence the engineers have in their design. It's worth the little extra you pay to have the best insurance in the business. October 4, 2014
Perfect I currently have it hooked up to my Television and surround sound. The ISOBLOK2-0 is perfect for what we need it for. I feel completely safe with my electronics being plugged into this product. October 3, 2014
Great Product GREAT PRICE Product works great Had a problem with eqpt failing in pass due to ac line issues Been working great since we started using this surge suppressor. I highly recommend these be installed before its too late. October 3, 2014
Easy, quick - protected I purchased this product two years ago. I was able to install it quick and forget about needing to worry about it. Like all the isobar line, it is built like a tank. Very tough and rigid product. October 3, 2014

Answer:
I plugged a flourescent lamp into the device. It used to hum, with an annoying wine. It is totally quite now. It is because the voltage variance has gone away with this unit. Truly awesome device, I think.

Answer:
Definitely. Of course, if the circuitry is overloaded causing the circuit breaker to shut off the current to the ISOBLOK, the coffee brewer won't work until you flip the breaker back on. But it will still protect the brewer from the surge created when you do that.

Answer:
Thank you for your inquiry. The ISOBLOK2-0 provides EMI / RFI filtering from 40-80db. Your connected equipment should be protected as long as the interference (noise) does not exceed that range.

Does it block the other wall outlet?

On a standard 2 outlet wall receptacle, is it possible to install it into one outlet without blocking full grounded access to the second outlet? (A picture showing a typical installation would have been nice. ;) )

Answer:
You can install it on the bottom plug and keep the top one open. This will turn two plugs into 3.

Answer:
Yes, just put into the lower outlet of the duplex outlet box. Seems that is the way it is intended to work primarily.

Answer:
In a typical duplex setting, the ISOBLOK2-0 will block both outlets.

However, as the ISOBLOK2-0 will support a full 15 amps and the full duplex usually a 15 amp circuit, you can usually plug two pieces of equipment into the ISOBLOK2-0 without worrying about tripping breakers.

Answer:
Yes as long as the washing machine is 110, and is grounded, this device could be used as long as you have enough room between the wall and the washing machine. if the outlet is located above the washer on the wall you should be fine. If not, and the outlet is behind the washer backing, then you will have to pull the machine out from the wall a bit to allow it to fit.

Answer:
Yes you can, the only problem is space. When mounted this device protrudes 3 inches away from the wall. If your outlet is above the washer, on the wall, you can use it. If your outlet is directly behind the washer and you have very little room where the washer is installed, like in a laundry closet, it may not work. If your have a laundry room, you probably do have enough space, and you could use the device.

Thank you for your inquiry. The ISOBLOK2-0 will suppress line noise if the transmitters are pluged into its outlet. The ISOBLOK2-0 will ensure that the line noise from one transmitter does not affect the other transmitter.

Short extension cord use

Since the ISOBLOK2-0 plugs directly into the wall, it will force my fridge to stick out further. I'd like to use a 1-foot, 16 gauge, space saver extension cord in conjunction with the ISOBLOK so I can plug in the fridge to the ISOBLOK but have the ISOBLOK turned parallel to the wall. Will this affect the warranty coverage?

If this is going to be an issue, I'd recommend designing an ISOBLOK that has outlets on the sides to minimize wasted space.

Answer:
To ensure the best protection is coming from the output of the ISOBLOK2-0, we recommend plugging the surge suppressor directly into the wall.

However, we have other 2 outelt surge suppression options with sapce saving plugs. Based on the application one of the best options to lead with would be the ISOBAR2-6:
