Recommended for connecting multiple loads in commercial or retail environments, the SS7415-15 16-Outlet Industrial Surge Protector features a surge protection rating of 1650 joules to defend your sensitive electronic components against strong surges and spikes. It filters out electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI) that can disrupt your electronics and inflict hardware damage or data loss.

Your devices plug into 16 NEMA 5-15R outlets, which are spaced 2.7 inches apart center to center to reduce cable clutter and accommodate bulky transformers. An integrated 15A circuit breaker protects all outlets and shuts down connected equipment in case of overload. The lighted on/off switch with transparent safety cover provides one-touch control over connected equipment. A diagnostic LED confirms your connected equipment is protected.

The long 15-foot AC power cord with NEMA 5-15P plug gives you flexibility to reach distant outlets while fitting easily into your setup. Adjustable clips are included for mounting the 48-inch all-metal housing horizontally or vertically on a variety of surfaces.

Frequently Asked Questions

A surge protector will protect your electronics by acting as an “electrical sponge” by clamping down on spikes, “soaking them up” and converting the excess energy into heat, thus preventing the spikes from passing through the surge protector into the sensitive electronic devices and damaging them. As with any “sponge” a surge protector has a limited absorption capacity. Once that capacity is reached, the unit is no longer able to protect and must be replaced.
Please do not plug a surge protector into a UPS. This may void the UPS warranty. Tripp Lite UPS products have surge suppression. For additional surge protection, plug a Tripp Lite surge protector into a wall outlet and plug the UPS into the surge protector. Please remember that the equipment you want to run during a power loss must be plugged into only the battery side of the UPS. For additional outlets, plug a Tripp Lite power strip into the UPS. Do not overload the UPS.
Some Tripp Lite Audio/Video surge protectors are equipped with an audible alarm. This feature immediately alerts you to damaged internal protection circuitry. If the surge protector is the source of the alarm, your unit requires replacement. There are a few reasons why the audible alarm will sound: 1. A power surge occurred that damaged the unit's internal components. 2. In the event that the surge protector has been in service for a number of years, the internal protection components of the unit may have expired. 3. The unit may be faulty.
In the event that a power surge has occurred, and one or more devices connected to a Tripp Lite surge protector have been damaged, you may be eligible to file a claim under our Ultimate Lifetime Insurance program. However, to make an eligible claim regarding a Network surge protector, a Tripp Lite AC line surge protector must also be used in conjunction with it. Also, the surge protector can be replaced under warranty. Please see the link below for further details about Tripp Lite's Ultimate Lifetime Insurance Policy and the steps required to file a claim:
Almost all Tripp Lite surge protectors are designed to operate silently. If the unit is the source of any type of sound, such as a humming, crackling, or popping noise, the surge protector requires replacement. Here are some reasons why the surge protector may produce abnormal sounds: 1. A power surge occurred that damaged its internal components. 2. If the surge protector has been in service for a number of years, the internal protection components of the unit may have expired. 3. The unit may be faulty.
