Here are some of the benefits offered to our employees (working 30 or more hours per week). Benefits may vary outside the United States.

Medical Insurance

Working with a premier carrier, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois, we offer PPO and HMO coverage at low premiums to employees. Employee cost contribution is 40% less than US surveyed average. Our medical plans are designed to support wellness leading you to make smart choices when managing your health. Coverage includes, but is not limited to routine office visits, hospital care, surgery and maternity. Discounted vision plans, health club memberships and prescription drug plans are offered. Our employees and dependents have access to an eHealthcare provider online or through a mobile application. Our eHealth service is staffed with an exclusive network of board-certified emergency medicine physicians who specialize in telemedicine.

Dental Insurance

Delta Dental offers a large network of PPO and HMO dental providers with minimal co-payments. No waiting periods on major dental procedures. Deductibles are waived on preventative services.

Vision Insurance

Our nationwide vision plan, VSP, includes retail providers and private practice providers with minimal co-payments. The plan covers exams, lenses and frames with discounts on contact lenses and laser vision correction.

Basic Life Insurance and AD&D Policy

Tripp Lite provides a $50,000 Basic Life Policy to all employees with and additional $50,000 Basic Accidental Death and Dismemberment Policy. Coverage begins on your first day of employment.

Supplemental Life & Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance

Supplemental Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment coverage is available through Met Life on a pre-tax basis. Rates are determined by desired policy amount based off income and age. Coverage is also available for your spouse and children.

Long-Term Disability

Tripp Lite provides a nationally recognized long-term disability plan through Met Life that provides income protection until retirement. Rates are based on income level and age.

401(k) Plan

Tripp Lite offers a 401(k) plan through Empower Retirement with numerous investment options to increase financial security upon retirement. Tripp Lite matches a portion of contributions subject to a vesting schedule. Our plan offers many flexible options for investment, saving and borrowing.

Flexible Spending Accounts

Programs are available that allow employees to put pre-tax dollars aside for child care, health care and transportation expenses. This affords our employees a savings on out of pocket medical, dental, vision expenses, transportation costs and child/day care.

College Savings Plan

Tripp Lite offers a 529 college savings plan through a payroll deduction that allows employees to contribute to an account to pay a beneficiary's qualified higher education expenses. The plan covers tuition, fees, books, supplies and room and board.

Home/Renter/Auto Insurance

Group rate discounts for home, renters and auto insurance are available through a nationally recognized insurer. Additional discounts are available for payments made through payroll deductions.

Employee Assistance Program EAP

Tripp Lite has a robust EAP through Curalinc offered free to all employees and their dependents. This reinforces our Wellness initiatives and supports a balanced life style. Confidential assistance is offered to help with family and personal challenges. In person consults are available.

Holidays

Tripp Lite observes nine company-paid holidays per year, including New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Eve.

Vacation

Tripp Lite offers 10 vacation days per year after one year of continuous employment and 15 vacation days per year after five years of continuous employment.

Transportation

Our world headquarters is located at 1111 W. 35th, Chicago, Illinois 60609 in the historic Bridgeport Neighborhood. Our offices have easy access off of many Chicago expressways. We offer free parking for our employees. For suburban transit riders, we have a free shuttle service that runs between Union and Ogilvie Stations.

Company Events

Tripp Lite hosts an annual holiday party and a company picnic for all employees.
