The TLP1210SATG offers reliable, green surge technology that protects your A/V installations, the environment and your wallet. The TLP1210SATG offers a unique Netbook switch that allows users to select wattage, so these are the only green surge suppressors compatible with all PCs, Notebooks and Netbooks. Energy-saving outlet configuration reduces energy waste (phantom loads) by cutting AC power to unused peripherals. The TLP1210SATG offers 3600 joules of advanced surge protection for all A/V components. You can see and hear the difference: sharper, crisper video; deeper, fuller audio; longer component life spans. Perfect for small-to-medium home/business theater installations: high-definition TVs, satellite and A/V receivers, DVD/CD players and more. 12 outlets (with transformer spacing and sliding safety covers), 2-line coaxial protection and 1-line tel/modem/Ethernet (100BaseT, high-speed) protection safeguard an entire home/business theater system. Includes two diagnostic LEDs and four status LED indicators, color-coordinated holographic outlet/plug labels, 10-ft. cord with a right-angle plug, 6-ft. coaxial cable and 6-ft. network cable. $250,000 Ultimate Lifetime Insurance (U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico only).

Frequently Asked Questions

It’s a surge protector’s job to stop a voltage fluctuation or lightning strike from damaging the sensitive electronic equipment connected to it but it does so by sacrificing itself. Once a power surge has been blocked, your surge protector may no longer provide protection. Many of our surge protectors include an LED “protection” indicator that indicates that surge suppression are intact and providing protection against surges.
A surge protector will protect your electronics by acting as an “electrical sponge” by clamping down on spikes, “soaking them up” and converting the excess energy into heat, thus preventing the spikes from passing through the surge protector into the sensitive electronic devices and damaging them. As with any “sponge” a surge protector has a limited absorption capacity. Once that capacity is reached, the unit is no longer able to protect and must be replaced.
Please do not plug a surge protector into a UPS. This may void the UPS warranty. Tripp Lite UPS products have surge suppression. For additional surge protection, plug a Tripp Lite surge protector into a wall outlet and plug the UPS into the surge protector. Please remember that the equipment you want to run during a power loss must be plugged into only the battery side of the UPS. For additional outlets, plug a Tripp Lite power strip into the UPS. Do not overload the UPS.
Some Tripp Lite Audio/Video surge protectors are equipped with an audible alarm. This feature immediately alerts you to damaged internal protection circuitry. If the surge protector is the source of the alarm, your unit requires replacement. There are a few reasons why the audible alarm will sound: 1. A power surge occurred that damaged the unit's internal components. 2. In the event that the surge protector has been in service for a number of years, the internal protection components of the unit may have expired. 3. The unit may be faulty.
In the event that a power surge has occurred, and one or more devices connected to a Tripp Lite surge protector have been damaged, you may be eligible to file a claim under our Ultimate Lifetime Insurance program. However, to make an eligible claim regarding a Network surge protector, a Tripp Lite AC line surge protector must also be used in conjunction with it. Also, the surge protector can be replaced under warranty.
