Overview

Tripp Lite's OMNISMART300PNP line-interactive UPS system offers voltage regulation, surge suppression and long-lasting battery support for personal computers, internetworking equipment and other sensitive electronics. Large internal battery supports entry level PC systems for up to 30 min. during power failures so that connected equipment can be shutdown without data loss. Automatic voltage regulation (AVR) circuits regulate brownouts as low as 75V and overvoltages as high as 147V to normal 120V levels without consuming battery power. Offers complete desktop power protection in an attractive black upright tower configuration. Includes 3 battery-supported outlets with full AC surge suppression. HID-compliant USB port enables optional unattended system shutdown without data loss in case of extended power failure; USB cable included. HID-compliant USB port also enables direct integration with built-in power management and auto-shutdown features of Windows and Mac OS X. PowerAlert Software available via free download from www.tripplite.com. Built-in dataline protection jacks offer protection on a single dialup tel/DSL line. Built-in audible alarm and 4 front panel LEDs indicate line power status, battery power status, battery low/replace status and voltage regulator operation. 300VA/180W power-handling ability supports entry-level PCs, network workstations, point-of-sale equipment, small business phone systems, audio/video equipment and home theater systems. Offers 10.8 min. battery runtime with a full load of 300VA/180W and 29.8 min. with a half load of 150VA/90W. Supports battery replacement via built-in access panel. $200,000 connected equipment insurance (USA and Canada Only).

Frequently Asked Questions

Follow the instructions below to perform a discharge reset for OmniSmart non-LCD UPS systems:
1. Press and hold the On/Off button on the front panel and release the button after the UPS emits a single beep. The UPS will now be powered off; no LEDs will be lit on the front panel and there will be no AC output from the Battery-Backup/Surge-Protected outlets.
2. Disconnect the UPS from its AC input source. Verify the UPS is powered off by checking to make sure that the LEDs on the front panel are not lit and that the UPS is not passing power from the Battery-Backup/Surge-Protected outlets and the Surge-Protected-Only outlets.
3. Remove the screw(s) from the battery door of the UPS and remove the battery door.
4. Tilt the UPS to allow the battery to partially slide away from the UPS, exposing the battery terminals. Locate the red and black battery cables connected to the battery. Using needle-nose pliers, disconnect one of the UPS DC input cables, either the red or black cable, from the battery. Make sure that the cable does not come in contact with the opposite battery terminal.
5. Press and hold the On/Off button on the front panel for 10 seconds and then release it.
6. Reconnect the red or black UPS DC input cable to the terminal from which it was disconnected. Note: There may be a slight arc when reconnecting the input cable.
7. Reinstall the battery door.
8. Connect the UPS to a known working AC source. The Surge-Protected-Only outlets will begin to pass power.
9. To power on the unit, press and hold the On/Off button and release it after the UPS emits a single beep. The Line Power LED will illuminate and the UPS will begin passing power from the Battery-Backup/Surge-Protected outlets.
