Overview

Perfect for your home or office workstation, the TLP615B Protect It! 6-Outlet Surge Protector features a surge suppression rating of 790 joules to defend your sensitive electronic components against strong surges and spikes. In fact, Tripp Lite will repair or replace any connected equipment damaged by surges, including direct lightning strikes, up to $20,000 for life (valid in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico only).

The TLP615B includes full normal mode (H-N) and common mode (N-G/H-G) line surge suppression, as well as technology that filters out disruptive EMI/RFI line noise, preventing interference from disrupting your electronics and inflicting damage or data loss.

Your computer and peripherals plug into six NEMA 5-15R outlets, including one designed to accept bulky transformers without blocking adjacent outlets. Integrated 15-amp circuit breaker protects all outlets against dangerous overloads. Lighted on/off switch provides one-touch control over connected equipment. Green LED indicates protection status.

The 15-foot AC power cord with NEMA 5-15P plug allows the TLP615B to reach distant outlets, giving you flexibility in placing the power strip. Keyhole slots incorporated into the bottom panel provide convenient wall or desk mounting options for the black plastic housing.

Frequently Asked Questions

A surge protector will protect your electronics by acting as an “electrical sponge” by clamping down on spikes, “soaking them up” and converting the excess energy into heat, thus preventing the spikes from passing through the surge protector into the sensitive electronic devices and damaging them. As with any “sponge” a surge protector has a limited absorption capacity. Once that capacity is reached, the unit is no longer able to protect and must be replaced.
Please do not plug a surge protector into a UPS. This may void the UPS warranty. Tripp Lite UPS products have surge suppression. For additional surge protection, plug a Tripp Lite surge protector into a wall outlet and plug the UPS into the surge protector. Please remember that the equipment you want to run during a power loss must be plugged into only the battery side of the UPS. For additional outlets, plug a Tripp Lite power strip into the UPS. Do not overload the UPS.
Some Tripp Lite Audio/Video surge protectors are equipped with an audible alarm. This feature immediately alerts you to damaged internal protection circuitry. If the surge protector is the source of the alarm, your unit requires replacement. There are a few reasons why the audible alarm will sound: 1. A power surge occurred that damaged the unit's internal components. 2. In the event that the surge protector has been in service for a number of years, the internal protection components of the unit may have expired. 3. The unit may be faulty.
In the event that a power surge has occurred, and one or more devices connected to a Tripp Lite surge protector have been damaged, you may be eligible to file a claim under our Ultimate Lifetime Insurance program. However, to make an eligible claim regarding a Network surge protector, a Tripp Lite AC line surge protector must also be used in conjunction with it. Also, the surge protector can be replaced under warranty. Please see the link below for further details about Tripp Lite's Ultimate Lifetime Insurance Policy and the steps required to file a claim: https://www.tripplite.com/support/insurance-claims
Almost all Tripp Lite surge protectors are designed to operate silently. If the unit is the source of any type of sound, such as a humming, crackling, or popping noise, the surge protector requires replacement. Here are some reasons why the surge protector may produce abnormal sounds: 1. A power surge occurred that damaged its internal components. 2. If the surge protector has been in service for a number of years, the internal protection components of the unit may have expired. 3. The unit may be faulty.
