It works as advertised...and works well My need was to find as easy and effective a method as possible to split my PC video signal between my monitor and high definition TV, in order to display photos and video on the TV. A major incentive to find a solution was the agonizingly slow experience when using an SD card plugged directly into the TV SD slot, or use a USB device in a TV USB port, or DLNA wireless media sharing between TV and PC. I tried several approaches, including A-B cable splitters and A-B switches. The various efforts either resulted in no TV image, TV image but no monitor image, or no image on either device. Enter Tripp-Lite B116-002A. Success! Image appears on monitor and TV simultaneously, with no intervention, cable swapping, or manual switches. Only step needed is to change the TV's HDMI video source from, in my case, cable TV to the HDMI port with the DVI cable coming fom the Tripp-Lite 2-port splitter. Photo and video display is as instant on the TV as it is on the simultaneously displayed monitor. Beautiful. September 5, 2013

functionality question

i have a video card with 2 outputs. i want to connect 3 devices BUT i want 2 of them to have the same signal. i just don't want to keep changing plugs/cables.

i want 2 monitors and 1 tv connected at all times. monitor 1 would be normal desktop stuff and monitor2/tv would be same exact extended display. can that work with this product?

2x2 Display

I was wondering if using 2 of these would allow me to set up a 2x2 display. As in from the video card which has two DVI-D ports I was it to recognize the 4 screens as one.

Basically I'm trying to replace using Matrox TripleHead2Go's with this or a similar product.

Answer:
If two B116 units are plugged into each DVI-D port on the graphics card, then each DVI signal will be split to two monitors, showing the same image on both.
