Overview

Tripp Lite's ultra small 7-port USB 2.0 hub is the most versatile and powerful hub on the market. It allows you to connect up to seven USB devices to a single USB port on your computer. This unit meets or exceeds USB 2.0 Specifications for Hi-Speed data transmission rates up to 480Mbps. Perfect for both the mobile and desktop user. While the hub will function perfectly in virtually all cases without needing external power, a compact, multi-voltage AC adapter (110/220V ) has been provided for the rare circumstance when connecting a power hungry device. This USB 2.0 device is backwards compatible so that it will function with both USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices. Over-current protection safeguards connected equipment from overvoltages. Includes stand for upright positioning.

USB Port is Excellent I purchased this product two days ago and it has saved me a great deal of time and effort. My workstation cpu doesn't have enough functioning ports, and this allows me to transfer documents to my student's usbs quickly with any headaches, this product is a lifesaver!! April 1, 2013
First one worked so well I bought another one two days later Did some research and based on some independent reviews decided to purchase this Tripp-Lite USB hub in order to alleviate some USB issues on my machine ... worked exactly as advertised - even better. U222-007-R hub - power question

on the power adapter for the U222-007-R which connects to the wall outlet, what does the output say? 5v and 500ma/port is what the website says. I want to know the total number on the adapter.

will this device work well as an extender?

more specifically, can I use a 15' USB AtoB cable from my PC to the hub and a second 15' USB AtoB cable from the hub to a printer?

It is possible to use the hub in that manner, but it is not designed to be used for the purpose of extending a signal.

Yes...as long as the cables are within the 5 meter distance limitation. 15ft + 15ft will work with a Powered hub in between.

Manual with larger print.

The manual that came with the unit is too small.
Need to find an on line PDF file with with larger print.
