Product Q&A

I am not getting keyboard and mouse functionality on my console?
Make sure that the cable kit that came with the console is installed properly. The VGA connector on the cable kit that is all by itself should be connected to the VGA port on the back of the console. The VGA connector on the same side of the cable kit as the PS/2 connectors should be plugged into the VGA port on the back of your computer or KVM switch. The PS/2 connectors on this side of the cable should be plugged into the PS/2 keyboard and mouse ports on the back of your computer or KVM switch. When connecting to a USB computer or KVM switch, the PS/2 connectors should be plugged into the connectors on the PS/2 to USB adapter that came with the console, and the USB connector then plugged into a USB port on the computer or KVM. If these connectors are not plugged into the correct locations, the keyboard and mouse will not function properly.
The mouse and keyboard response time on my rackmount console is sluggish when connected to my B072-Series KVM switch.
This issue can be resolved by upgrading the firmware of your KVM switch. An alternate firmware version is available to address this problem, and can be found in the Help & Downloads tab of the B072-008-1, B072-016-1 and B072-016-1-IP web page, or in the software dowload section of the Service & Support page.
