Powers electronics I trusted it enough to hook up my entertainment system to it, and it does that job well. But the real test of these types of things is in worst-case scenarios, and I've been lucky enough to not have to test the quality of their warranty yet, so it's hard for me to give it an outstanding score. TrippLite Super 7 I've only had this item for a month or so, but so far, I'm satisfied with it. We have several power surges a month. (my large UPS has a "message board"" Anyway, time till tell if the items plugged into this device live through these surges. Will report again later. October 29, 2014
Couldn't ask for a strip more versatile Built to accommodate a variety if wall warts, power transformers and cord plugs. Must be working because have not experienced and equipment failures caused by surges. October 1, 2014
So far, so good. The product appears to perform as advertised satisfactorily, but it hasn't been tested by surges yet. So far, I am happy with the product. October 1, 2014

Answer:
This surge suppressor would work perfectly. My only recommendation is to mount the SUPER7 in such a way so you can see the ground & protection LEDs to ensure you are protected.

Answer:
Never plug in a refrigerator or freezer to either a surge protector or a GFI outlet. You may not notice if they trip and all of your food could potentially spoil.

Answer:
Thank you for your inquiry. The Super 7 will work as long as the refrigerator doesn't exceed the output wattage capacity of the surge suppressor.

Answer:
It is sad that the staff answer is incorrect but also not surprising considering that the ground LED has different meanings in different products. Jason's answer is correct (LED on = no wiring fault). You can read up in the manual at http://www.tripplite.com/shared/techdoc/Owners-Manual/932666.pdf

Answer:
The two LED lights on the SUPER7 indicate protection. When both are on, there is proper ground and the surge suppressor is operating properly. Two LEDs on is a good thing.

I have plugged in the SUPER7 to an outlet without proper ground, in which case the ground LED is off. The device is still usable, but there is no ground, and not recommended for safety reasons.

If the protection LED is off, then the SUPER7 is not operating properly and not providing protection. I am not aware if it will provide power at this point or not, and it is best to warrant it at this time.

Answer:
Thank you for your inquiry. The Super7 has a Ground Fault LED which is red in color. The Ground Fault LED lit means there is possibly a problem in the wiring of the plug that the Super 7 is connected to or the unit is defective. Try moving the Super 7 to another outlet. If the Ground Fault LED remains lit the Super 7 may be defective.

I'm planning to use the Super7 tripplite in India. The input voltage here is 240V and the frequency is 60 Hz. Please let me know if this power strip will be able to handle 240V.

Answer:
Hi Bala,

This unit will only support 50/60Hz @ 120 vac input and output and will not support 240 vac at all.

We do have other surge suppressors in our roster that will support the 240 vac input and output.

If looking for an unit that has the 5-15 plug and outlets like the Super7, the best option to check out would be the ISOBAR4/220:
http://www.tripplite.com/shared/product-pages/en/ISOBAR4220.pdf

This supports 200-240 vac and 50/60 Hz input and output and has a NEMA 5-15 plug and four NEMA 5-15 outlets.

Hope this helps!
