You can charge your phone while it lays flat on the charging pad, or you can use the adjustable kickstand for flexible placement during charging. You can place the phone vertically to read notifications and messages while it charges or horizontally to stream video.

Status LEDs let you know how much battery capacity is left. The UPB-04K0-1CM maintains its charge when not in use.
